Art Camps in Tarzana
Golden Key Art offers fun, educational programs focused on the arts for children K through 12th. Professional artists familiarize kids with different mediums and genres of art, including architecture, painting, etching, and sculpture. Students will have the chance to participate in group projects, as well as also producing their own individual works using various techniques and mediums.
Each week of camp is unique, focusing on a different aspect or genre of art. Practical art classes are combined with studying the art of the ancient masters. We place a large emphasis on study of the cultures of Greece, ancient Egypt, and Rome, as well artistic heritage of the Renaissance. In addition to the lessons taught by our instructors, we screen documentary films showing the lives of artists from these time periods.
Each week students visit museums such as the Skirball Center, the Getty, and the Hammer Museum and others. Additional field trips to parks, beaches, pools, and hiking trails are included as well.
Welcome! We hope to see you soon!
We also offer a special one-day camp throughout the school year on school holidays.
